I bought a trail camera, a GardePro E6, after being woken up several times in the early hours by strange noises in the garden. The garden is fully enclosed and can only be accessed through the house so there should really be nothing in the garden to make a noise. I know cats pass through but they are silent so what could it be that is making all the noise?
I strapped the camera to a post and switched it on leaving it in its default settings. The next day I logged into the camera and found eight 20 second videos. Two fox cubs running around chasing each other and generally having fun playing hide and seek. There were four videos with just a tail or a head visible and another four with plenty of action.
After this I changed the length of videos in the camera from 20 seconds to 3 minutes in daylight and from 20 seconds to 30 seconds in darkness. I didn’t want to miss any action in the future.
